Save As not working intermittently across programs. At times, Save As does not work and if I try to close the file a dialogue box appears asking if I want to Save, but the file does not save. Appears in new files rather than opened existing files. I have to Force Quit to close the program noting the message that the program is not responding. Problem is intermittent. Been happening for at least 3-6 months. Happens regularly in PS 22.5.0, Word for Mac 16.52, Excel for Mac 16.52...but these are the programs I have mostly been using. iMac (27" Late 2012), macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Word 16.40 (20081000) crashes on save OSX 10.15.6 Word 16.40 (20081000) crashes on save OSX 10.15.6. The only way I've found to fix this is to completely shut down and restart the computer. This works for a while, but the problem returns at an unpredictable time. I suspect it must be some log type file that is being corrupted, or some overloading of some memory limit - which goes to illustrate I am stumbling around in the dark!! Any suggestions, beyond waiting for the new OSX or patches from Microsoft? MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016), 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Contact FMP's tech support. Is your version known to be compatible with 10.13.3? Maybe you should downgrade: How to Downgrade macOS High Sierra.
