How can I delete iBooks?

I need to know what steps to take to delete several books from iBooks.

iPad mini Wi-Fi, iOS 11.2.1

Launch iBooks, tap on my books tab, tap select, press the book you want to delete, tap delete, then tap remove download

Thank You Kayli for this very helpful information. Easy as long as I followed this sequence exactly. Opportunity to delete one. Or delete them all at once.
