iPhone 7+ Storage Almost Full Notification Error

Hey! So the last month or so my iPhone 7 Plus has been constantly alerting me that my storage is almost full but when I check my storage I usually have between 4gb - 5gb of free space available. I understand getting the alert close to 1gb space remaining, but constant alerts at 5gb space remaining is a little excessive and quite annoying. Could this be a bug, or is this he new threshold for low space warnings? I’m running the most recent IOS update. Any ideas?
