New Main Hard Drive Icon after High Sierra Update

I just update my High Sierra OS to 10.13.3. I now have a phantom, generic hard drive icon (hard drive icon) in addition to my regular main drive icon (purple bespeckled icon) on the desktop. This new icon is in the first position indicating that is is the main hard drive. When I select this new icon it opens to an empty window. When I Get Info on both, the numbers (usage/capacity) are the same.

Please advise
