How do I rearrange the order of photos in an album in iPhoto?

How do I rearrange photo order in an album? Cannot drag and drop

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

Events and albums are different things (as are smart albums)

The direction you ask for are

View menu ==> sort - select teh sort you want

Or manually drag them into the order you want in the album

Within an event or a smart album you can not sort manually, you can sort ascending or descending by date, by title, by keyword or by rating using the view menu ==> sort

If you wnat to manually sort then you have to put the photos in a album

Thank you for your help. I tried to drag them manually but it just goes right back to where it was. The other options in sort such as by date dont apply to me. I just want to move them around and it won't let me 😟

Where it says sort manually it is grayed out so I cant choose that option

Terrence You are right it is an event. MAC OS High Sierra 10.13.3 iPhoto is 9.6.1 (910.42) I know there is a new photos ap but I dont want to use that. Took me long enough to figure this one out Thank you

Any advice on the event arranging?

What version of iPhoto and the OS?

Are you sure this isn't an Event?
