Gps network not working!!

As much as I would like to keep using my iPhone, I can't buy a new one if I know that it can be broken or slowed down or degraded in any way at any time because of an update with no ensuing efficient support by Apple.

So yes sadly I'm considering switching.

Too bad that this is the only "solution" we are offered.

Same issue on Ipad4. Have tried all recommended solutions. It is pitiful that when Apple does respond to the huge number of people with this issue, they act as if there is no real systemic issue and that users have a chance to resolve the issue. When is Apple going to acknowledge the issue and quickly come up with a fix!!!!

It certainly doesn’t feel like this is an isolated hardware problem after reading the many, many posts across multiple platforms, sounds like all after upgrading IOS.

I will try contacting Apple, but don’t hold out much hope as I’m not in a location where it will be easy or timely to get my device fixed. I bought the Ipad relatively recently so can’t imagine why hardware failing, and need it for nautical navigation in a few weeks.

I will try, although I do not hold out a lot of hope. I‘ve never had a lot of success with these types of things. As far as I can tell, there is a 1-800 number which I will need to call, and for me it will be at International dialing rates. And, if par for the course, I will spend 30-60 minutes explaining the problem, with a tech walking me through everything I’ve already done and tried over the internet. Maybe I’m just getting more pessimistic as I get older 😀, but I will try nonetheless when they open on Monday.

I have an iphone 7 Plus.

It had been working flawlessly on 11.2.1.

I upgraded to 11.3.1 couple of weeks ago and GPS completely stoped working, no luck on 11.4 either after doing a fresh restore and setting up as new iphone.

Apple store couldn't figure it out and told me only choice is to pay $350 to replace or get a new iphone 8.

Seems to be a widespread issue and now I have a half useless phone that's barely over a year old. RIDICULOUS.

I wish i had NEVER updated but the constant nagging my Apple, I decided to and it broke my phone. Now Apple wants me give them more $$$. I'm so disgusted w/ Apple and the Customer Service at the stores now.

Sorry to hear nothing worked. I tried everything too and as previously stated.

My experience at the Apple store was the last straw for me personally.

Ended up getting a GS9+ for not much more than $350 that Apple wanted to replace the phone.

Yes indeed, the closer we seem to get Apple to understand our problem the more we are left wondering if we are not just being conned.

Frustrating, same issue here

None of the apps that use gps work. No waze, google maps or yelp. I’ve tried all of the fixes I’ve read and still no gps.

Had you had your battery replaced in your iPhone previous to having the GPS go out?
