Anyone having issues with Wifi security of AirPort Extreme post updating the firmware to ver 7.7.9? Also can you refer to any documents by Apple stating the testing of this update?

I think you will find there is no WIPS for domestic type wireless products.

You need to simply trust to firmware updates for protection against known attack methods.

Certainly be careful and keep track of your usage over internet corresponds to your usual usage patterns.

You can also buy VPN access via a service.. so your data is encrypted.

But for most people these kinds of operations are unnecessary.

KRACK is almost 100% a weakness of the client software not the router. Concentrating your attention on the router is the least significant area.. it is patching all the devices you run.. especially the worst ones like android.

Otherwise it is just normal wireless security.. use WPA2 Personal security with a long password that is random mixed case and numbers. (using non-alphanumerics can introduce other problems).

Thanks for the reply Info and link. I have read this document, and believe it is stating "Krack was addressed with improved state management." is apple's statement. I have post 7.7.9 update experienced an issue. I noticed my APE was acting sluggish. Then found the admin pw was changed. I have no internal security risks but dense wifi concentration in my area. Do you know of any Apps or 3rd party software for macOS to monitor wifi WIPS or risk in a pure apple device environment?
