How to fix a broken trackpad?

I've seen pictures of how it's removed, and it's not too bad. The battery would need to be removed to get to the trackpad, but at least it's not glued in.

What model? Some might have a replaceable trackpad while others have it integrated into the upper case. I'd suggest bringing it to an Apple Store for an evaluation.
