why does my music app keep going black and exiting me out?

every time try to go and open my music app it goes black and exits me out. i restarted my phone 4 times deleted it and redownloaded it and also went into settings and it won’t open it.

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post, the Music app on your iPhone does not open as expected. Instead, it goes to a black screen and closes, taking you back to the Home screen. I'm happy to help!

I see you've done a couple of great steps already, by restarting and uninstalling/reinstalling the app. Those are two steps outlined in If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open - Apple Support , and two things I'd have suggested. I would suggest following the other steps in that article next, particularly checking for updates under Settings > General > Software Update.

If you're still having trouble after updating, or are already up to date, the next step I can suggest is for you to reach out to Apple Support directly. You can do that here: Contact Apple Support .
