There are no rules for passcode nor complex passwords as far as the screen lock passcode goes. A four or six digit passcode is just any four or six digits you want, including using the same single digit throughout. A complex passphrase can be anything you want as well, and unlike an App or online account password, there are no rules in terms of case changes, special characters required or combinations of numbers and letters. You can use common dictionary words, your dogs name, whatever. Or, you can make it as complex as you like.

If you have forgotten your passcode, you need to restore the device to remove the passcode. Then you can restore to your latest backup. See the instructions here. If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
No sure what you mean by complexity rules.
A 6 digit passcode would be comprised of 6 digits. i.e numbers from 0 to 9.
The rules is very simple, your chances is 1 in a million.
Not the answer I was looking for. Also I incorrectly tagged this as solved. How do I undo?
Pretty sure there is one. My first option had "010" in it and it was not accepted.
This may be it. The phone is linked to my company's corporate e-mail. Are you saying the rules are defined by the corporate admins?
They can be. An MDM or exchange security profile can modify numerous iOS security settings.
Will check with our admins. Thank you!
There are no password complexity rules unless the device is supervised by an MDM and the administrators have set up rules for complexity.
If you can't remember the password, you will have to erase the device either using Find My iPhone or by putting it into recovery mode and restoring iOS using iTunes. There is no way to bypass this. After erasing it, you can restore your backup.
It may not be the answer you were "looking for", but it is the correct answer.
