Apple Music skipped a charge?

I have had Apple Music for almost a year now and have always been charged on the same day of every month, however I realized that I was never charged for January. I can still access all of the same features but I'm not sure if I will be charged double this month to make up for last month - is anyone able to tell me why this may be the case?
