Keyboard or Pages problem?

Despite consistently typing correctly on my wired in keyboard, words appear on my correspondence in PAGES that are incorrect, with incorrect letters and misspellings all the time. It is NOT happening as I write this question now, so it appears it might just be associated with PAGES. Any ideas anyone?
