iPod mini not recognized by PC.

After mistakengly formated my ipod mini in window media player, as prompted; my ipod mini stopped being recognized by my PC and comes with an error message; "a warning image and a folder; and at the bottom of the screen "www.apple.com/support/ipod". I visited the website but did not get the issue resolved.

I restored in iTune screen, reset manually; by holding down the menu and ok buttons, The apple log will appear and will be stocked on the screen. If I tried to clear it, by again by holding the center "ok" button and backward buttons ; a check mark appears and says "ok to disconnect". This will for some time clear and when I reconnect the mini player the same problem comes up. Device will not be recognized by the computer.

Please how do I resolve this issue?

IF you had used Windows PC to reformat or erase the storage of the iPod Mini

then you'd probably have to restore a format before being able to use it again.

Because I'm not familiar with using disk utilities to erase an iOS device, I did

a search and see a few possibly valid means toward that end. ~ If that's so.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings ...

In general a search reveals several ideas; some not for PC as well:

There are some for PC like this:

Restore iPod without iTunes - freemyipod.org

Restore iPod without iTunes. ... Computer with Windows ... Windows might want to

reformat it, say No if it does. Continue to the next step.

Not saying there are any I prefer, however I'd look into Apple cures depending on

vintage of product. IF yours is an Older iPod, the latest Apple support documents

may not be so helpful in a PC windows environment.

Good luck & happy trails! 🙂
