Unknown iCloud backup status between IOS devices?

All 3 iOS devices on fresh reset install (iPhone X, SE and an iPad Pro) latest iOS version, found annoying bug I shared here previously:

From each devices the iCloud backup status is either “unknown “ or “-“ where it is successfully enabled and backed up.

Tried everything reset, iCloud backup on/off.. It seems working correctly with one device but as soon I add another devices backup the status is broken!!

Drive me nuts , any idea??

Finally found a workaround!! After messing with all my iOS devices ( I reset, signed out... countless time to see the same issue) and also factory reset my MacBook Pro because a lot of signed out created glitches....

Finally I went in the cloud storage from my phone x and “manage storeage”and I did uncheck one by one all apps that were saved on my iCloud backup which prompted for “delete and disable the backup for this application “. Did for the app one by one(I have 60+ of installed) and every time i did check the backup status from my ipad.....

And at some point it works!!!! Seems some apps may messing up with the backup preventing iCloud to read the “on” status properly.

Just painful I did request support on Apple chat, call and none of these were able to give me that guidance to solve the issue... bit disappointed considering after testing all options by myself I did finally found the solution.

However i did loose my backup and time to reset all my device including my Apple TV and MacBook Pro to source the issue of problem and that was the iPhone X backup!!

Hi zinacef.

Tried everything even resetting (factory) after signing out all my iOS devices and same behavior:

1 phone activated the status is correct “on” then more than 2 my devices starts to read “unknown “ or “-“.... drive me crazy!

However even if the status read incorrectly still the backup seems to perform just fine.

Just I like things to be neat and perform as they should.

My last resort I ll try tonigh is to set a brand new Apple ID from scratch and see what is going on. Doing so I would be able to narrow the issue to iCloud bug or could be thinking recently my internet provider who may interfere with the the connexion with iCloud servers?

Kind regards
