Can I buy a HomePod in the US and take it to Europe

So the HomePod has not yet launched in the EU and I would like to have it early...I found a site that can buy the HomePod in the US and ship it to you, and so I’m wondering if the HomePod will work were I live?

It should work, but as the power cable is a proprietary design you may need an adapter to plug the US styled ply into an electrical socket unless you fancy hacking the provided plug off and adding a local one which would probably void warranty. Tech specs for power supply suggest as it should work in most countries:

Also worth mentioning you could buy from the UK potentially, but I suspect it will be available in most EU countries soon.
