Can satellite wifi support iPhone cell service?

I am trying to improve my iPhone service in Prescott Valley AZ. I put in a satellite service thinking that it would help me get better phone connection while I am home. I have no trouble when I am on the road.

The satellite service isn't helping the phone at all. I have bluetooth and wifi on and it's set to pick up wifi when in this home.

What am I missing? I've used internet before successfully and it was fine. I have just not been able to find the right way to get good cell/wifi signal in the house. 1 1/2 years ago, the area was supposed to get a new tower but it hasn't come yet. Is that my only solution?

Or I get a land line...

Any suggestions would be appreciated

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.2.5

If your internet is suitable for decent VOIP calls, it should be fine for carrier wifi calling. As KiltedTim mentioned though, satellite internet is notorious for not only latency, but dropping packets and other issues. There is a web site, VOIPreview.org (and a couple of others) that have online speed and QC tests you can run on your internet connection to see if it is likely to be an issue. In particular, your upload speed can be an issue with any wifi voice service, and high latency can make VOIP calls essentially impossible.

Your other option may be to use a home powered cell signal extender - those are not cheap and the installation is not trivial, but it may be your best bet - https://www.wilsonamplifiers.com/cell-phone-signal-booster-guide

Who is your carrier? If it's a larger carrier like AT&T or Verizon, you can get a device called a microcell which actually broadcasts a cell signal. You would need a wired broadband Internet connection though like Comcast, it wouldn't work with your current Satellite service, however if WiFi isn't working all that well from your Satellite service provider, maybe it's time to change anyway.

Did you get a network extender from your carrier? Or, does your carrier support WiFi calling?
