Restoring WiFi passwords after network reset

hi,

i have a client with problems with their iPhone (latest iOS 11 ver.). apple support wants to reset the network settings on the phone which will remove any memorized wifi routers. would the following work so i don't have to ask my client to manually connect / remember all of the routers?

1) enable iCloud keychain on the iPhone

2) sync the data (which includes wifi info, i believe)

3) disable iCloud keychain

4) reset the network on the iPhone

5) then re-enable iCloud keychain on the phone to get back all the memorized router ssids / passwords?

tx for the response, but ...

from the article you linked, step 7) says

"Still can’t connect?

Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before."

i would take that to mean it erases saved wifi ssids/passwords.
