Yes, as well as AirPlay from iTunes you can set your HomePod to be the main audio source for your Mac. See the AirPlay from Mac section of How to AirPlay audio - Apple Support.

Yes - via airplay from within iTunes on MacBookPro

Good luck using it with gaming or anything else besides iTunes and Safari though.... you'll be in for a nice 1-2 second audio lag
