Calendar beachballs for 5-10 sec when making/editing/moving/copying ANY event

Why does AppleCalendar beachball for 5-10 sec when making/editing/moving/copying ANY event?

Even just opening an event/appointment and fixing a typo causes it to beachball. Copying via cutting and pasting an event is slightly better than option-dragging, but both are way too slow.

Also option-dragging often appears to be copying an event (a green plus sign appears in the event box as it’s being dragged) but fails to paste when dragged and dropped.

I don’t use or sync with iCloud for calendar events, but My AppleCal syncs with my Google Calendar. I utilize about a dozen sub-calendars, shared with both. A few are shared with one or two other people, but most are used only by me for time mgmt—I bill clients based on hours, so not only is my Cal for planning, it’s for keeping record of my time.

My guess is that this slow speed has something to do with syncing with Google servers, but want to be sure before I go “ripping out all the wires.”

This slows me down incredibly, I’m always moving and copying events (and no, setting repeating events rarely works for me as my schedule is always shifting.)

WHAT I’VE TRIED THAT HASN’T WORKED

deleting com.apple.iCal.plist

Delete (sign out of) iCloud account from Mac in System Prefs

Ran Keychain access’ Keychain First Aid.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Also try the Safe Mode. If it works in the Safe Mode try running another Etrecheck report.

After deleting the .plist, did you restart the computer?

I would get rid of Trusteer. It doesn’t work well under Mac OS.

Thanks, I got rid of that. Maybe the performance slightly improved--maybe 10% faster? Not certain it was a significant change. But thanks, sure it wasn't helping anything anyway.
Let me know if you think of anything else, it's such a drag on my productivity.

Yeah, tried that, no luck.

I took a screen movie of me using Calendar. You can't see it beachball/pinwheel, so I had to make the arrow dance to signify those moments. Also, you can't see exactly when I'm copying and pasting, but hopefully you can discern the wait time from command to execution is often upwards of 15 seconds:
