IPhone X camera sound issues when using video recording mode

Not entirely sure if it’s a bug or if there’s something faulty with my unit. When I use the camera native app on the iPhone X for video recording, the audio playback changes drastically from normal to almost mute. I tried using the voice memo app and it’s functioning normally so I don’t think there’s problem with the mic. Video recording on other apps like Instagram is fine. This issue only happens on Apple’s Camera app. Did my hard reset and the problem did not go away. Anyone facing a similar problem?
