How can you stop phishing websites from automatically opening over webpages

new popups saying the web site is not secure Recently, when attempting to access web pages from links in my email subscriptions, I began receiving security pop-ups telling me that the web site is not safe and might be impersonating the page I am trying to access. These are links to major, well-known companies from whom I have requested to receive e-mails. This only happens with links to certain web sites (Horchow is an example). This happens on my iPhoneX, my iPad, and now my MacBook. I was previously able to click on these links without trouble. Are these legitimate warnings? If not, how do I disable them?

Popup remover – Scam Zapper

If the pop-up reloads, force quit Safari (command - option/alt - esc) and reopen with the shift key held down. If that doesn't work, disconnect from the Internet, go to Safari/History and delete the website. Quit and reopen with the shift key held down. Then reconnect to the Internet.
