Logic 10.4 Crash when trying to record audio!

Every time I try to record audio, as soon as I press R, approx 2 seconds later the application just quits unexpectedly it doesn't even begin to record, I'm not sure if this is a high sierra problem or just logic being a pain, has anyone else had a problem like mine? and if you have a solution please do let me know.

Logic pro x audio drops out when punching record in/out, Macbook M1 Hi, Can anyone help me solving an annoying issue with logic on my new Macbook pro M1, Big Sur? In logic (and garageband) when activating (toggling) record on an audio track all audio from other tracks drops out for 1-2 seconds. I have been going through all audio settings and have been testing with both built-in and an external soundcard (RME). I also have Cubase (10.0) running on the same machine, and it works fine. Actually I bought Logic along with the M1 macbook pro expecting that it would run far smoother than Cubase...

Logic pro x stops recording after 1 hour Using logic pro x (10.4.1) on high sierra. It stops recording audio after 1 hour 1 minute. Just stops, no warning or error message. This happens both on a mac mini (3 ghz i7, 16 gb ram) and on my macbook air (2.2 ghz i7, 8 gb ram). Both machines have over 100gb free, so I'm not running into drive limits.I've extended to end time to 3 hours, recording 4 channels at 24/192. Logic stops recording at exactly the same point on both computers (time scale says 2:01:37). I'm trying to use it for live recording, so I'll need more than an hour of continuous recording.Any suggestions??thanks,rob

Try updating to 10.4.1.

Ok. First things first… 🙂

What version of macOS are you on, including sub-version.

Where are you recording: Do you have a dedicated project drive, or do you use the system drive?

How much free space do you have on the recording drive?

I have exactly the same problem, it's so frustrating! If you found out a solution do let me know, mine's only recently started crashing.
