Difference in delivery status on iPhone and Mac

When I sent a message from my iPhone, it appeared as though it hadn’t delivered (blue message with no status below it). However, my Mac shows the message with a delivered status. This only happened with one contact. Has anyone experienced this issue/know whether the messages are truly delivered. I assumed the iPhone would be right since it’s where I sent from, but why would the Mac show delivered? Thanks.

Hi,

This is a combo effect based on which ID of your contact you addressed and the ID you used to Send.

In broad terms if you Send From your Apple ID then the main device for that ID (such as the Mac) is the one that gets the "Delivered" and "Read" info.

Each device will use the ID that you were addressed on to reply.

If someone sends an iMessage to your iPhone Number and you reply to it on your Mac then it will send back using the iPhone Number.

In this particular case the "Delivered" ect. will appear on the iPhone.
