For the same reason many other religious holidays don't. If you specifically want Christian holidays on your calendar, then subscribe to a calendar that gives you those dates. Not everyone wants their calendars bogged down with "holidays" that are irrelevant to them.
Is this an iPhone question or a macOS High Sierra question? I can ask this site's Hosts to move it to an appropriate Discussions area.
If you want Christian holidays to appear on your devices, then subscribe to a Christian calendar. I provided one of many. If you want to argue, you'll have to do that on your own. I am not interested. Good day sir.
I contacted Apple Support through the chat app and over the phone and told them my calendar is broken. I was promised that the removal of Easter was not intentional and that they are working to adding it back with the next update.
Most of you would not care about this issue, however, could you imagine the outrage if they removed for example sake, MLK day or Earthday? I
I would not have thought asking for particular dates would require an Apple Support forum. Anyway, they are March 30 and April 1, respectively. Was that your question?
And they don’t appear on my iCal (iPhone calendar) because....?
Because you didn't click the link I posted...?
Dude, where's your hostility coming from? I hope you don't represent APPLE... My question had to do with simply having to do with what had always been a feature on calendars in this American market. Nothing argumentative about it. Since it changes every year, the dates are important to me, and I'm questioning where, not why, they fall this year. Sheesh!
KiltedTim, "irrelevant" like...Groundhog Day...or Indigenous People's Day "relevant"? I'm not clear as to where your intolerance and hostility is coming from...but I dare say that Easter just might be of a more populous interest than either of the two I just mentioned that are featured in my iCal calendar. I just don't get your anger toward the question. Using the term "bogged down" is highly irrelevant to the question. Plus, I don't see the disconnect between Easter and Christmas, as both of those are celebrated well outside the realm of "worship" by many Americans, not just with your narrowly identified people group - Christians. And, I agree with you that obviously every religion and religious holiday does NOT need to be thrown into the iCal, for sure. Those are typically religious holidays, whereas Christmas and Easter (you know, the bunnies, eggs, and stuff unrelated to religious acknowledgement) are truly cultural celebrations. Hey, maybe that's just me, though...
Not subscribing to your belief system is not "hostile". If you want your religious holidays on your calendar, then subscribe to a calendar that includes them.
Good Friday and Easter are not recognized Federal Holidays in the US. Nor should they be.
Trying to force your belief system on others by claiming that your holidays are "cultural celebrations" is "hostile". Please don't do that.

Then what are "Indigenous Peoples day" and "Junteenth"? I would consider holidays I have never heard of as bogged down!

To add to this, I have US holiday calendar chosen however, Cinco De Mayo along with junteenth is listed. I have never heard of Junteenth. What the heck?
There are always things that you have not heard of, that Juneteenth is one of them is not surprising.
There is no perceived or implied "forcing" of anything upon anyone in my request. If there is, please identify it.
Dudes, I just want to know when to buy the Easter eggs! The date changes each year, and my assumption is that Apple/Mac serves the majority community by choosing to list important dates.
To your statement, "Good Friday and Easter are not recognized Federal Holidays" (your emphasis on "not")...the last time I checked, neither was "Groundhog Day" or "Indigenous People's Day" as if that were the determining factor of placement on iCal.

Why would Easter be missing? It is so disappointing. The solution is to have Apple fix the issue. I am not adding it nor am I installing a third party app. Put Easter back or you will loose many customers.
If your benchmark for whether you will support a company is whether or not they will push your particular religious agenda or brand of bigotry on people who have no interest in it, then you're going to have a hard life.
Dude!
If you can't figure out when to buy eggs for any reason, you need assistance no one here can medicinally assist with.
This is for technical troubleshooting not Easter egg shopping and life skills, dude
I am here because my calendar is broken. It is missing something important to me and millions of others. Can someone help me fix it. This is a support forum right? No third party apps. This must be done with my Apple supplied app.
Where is Good Friday and Easter listed on iCal 2018?
