I have been updating this and for the last 4 times and now it say to purchase activation code.See screenshot. Does anyone know a way around it cause I cannot afford to pay for it I am out of work. And does anyone know of another one that is free to use for reports like EtrCheck? If so please let me know what it is.
I loved this and know h=they want money I know sooner or later it would happen.

What type of reports are you trying to run? You can't reset the number of trial runs of Etrecheck to my knowledge.

Thanks for the tip! I just sent a DMCA Takedown Notice to CBS Interactive.
I was just showing him how Malwarebytes has a trial period with fulll features and after trail then you get basic software not with all the goods ,t hat go with a premium service. But thay have the software you can run with updates and run to check for adware. So you can have the app 2 ways pay for full version or get free version with basic coverage thats all.

Don't worry. No harm done. You actually did me a big favour. I didn't know CNET had a copy. That wasn't my first DMCA takedown I've had to send out. I don't even think it was the first one I've sent to CNET.

FWIW, it's a 5 time trial rather than days.
This program has been in continuous development for years ... all at no cost to our members. So if a small charge becomes necessary in the future, I don't think anyone can regard it as unfair. The current program is infinitely better than the original.
You asked me this a few posts ago. I certainly know of no other like it. I haven't seen the price as yet but I will pay it once I need it. Incidentally, I too am disabled, but I'm pretty sure it won't break the bank.
Nor am I sure if there won't be a once only free seven day trial. I will have to ask some time.
A Digital Millenium Copyright Act takedown notice. If someone infringes on my copyright, I can complain about it. CBS owns the cnet.com site. If they don't take down that illegal copy of EtreCheck, I could conceivably take CBS off the Internet. I'm sure it won't come to that. Most companies are very responsive to DMCA notices.
Just so you know I will not be using it anymore that now your chrrging for it. So no worry I deleted my version I downloaded from download.net. Here is the link if you want to go after them, and someone mentioed the download from here I could get adware so I deleted it now. Your software was good for free I wich you gave us the option and may be take some stuff off and be able to just run your app. for the report. So I am cool its gone of my computer but will not pay for it. I need every penny I can get and if anyone on here says its not going to break the bank they do not now my needs and yes it will brealk the bank for me. So all you people on here that say that do not know my sitution.

As I read things, 5's your lot. End of story.
But it is interesting that you downloaded your copy from CNet ... one of the worst places you could have used. If you have trouble with your computer, the chances are that CNet may be behind it.
I did not want to affend anybody but when someone tells me it not going to break the bank they do not know my sitution. That was harsh for them to say as well to me. They do not know me and to say its not going to brealk the bank I cannot be like all people who have the money.
Thats ok do what you got to do first maybe I will see the free version one day and do apprecite all your help and I did remove that downalod from download.net. I got acared and about the adware potential so I uninstalled and moved it to trash and empty it. Its gone. That is why I loved your app when it was free it and was recommended by the community. Ever since I have been using when I had problems.
Thank you for all your help and understand you need to make money too. I wish I had the money to get it as you know I am on disablity and need ever penny I get. But loved your software. Sorry if I offened anybody out there I was mad in the moment wr all have those days.
