I used to be able to add miles to the Health app if I walked without my phone. How can I still do that?

I have an iPhone 6 with software update OS 11.2.5. Are used to be able to manually and miles to my Health app when I walked without my phone. I seem to have lost that ability. How can I get it back?

Good afternoon PrincessMonita,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand you would like to enter activity data manually in the Health app on your iPhone. If you want to manually enter miles, follow these steps:
1. Open the Health app on your iPhone and tap Activity.
2. Scroll down the page and tap Walking + Running Distance
3. If the view is not already on D for daily, tap the D.
4. Tap the plus sign in the upper-right corner of the screen
5. Enter the date, the time you exercised, and the distance (you can change the unit of measure on the next screen)
6. Tap Add (scroll down and tap Unit if you need to change it to km or mi.)
Here's some additional information about adding information to the Health app:
Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch
Enjoy your day!
