Ethernet not working anymore after 10.13.3 upgrade

OS High Sierra 10.13.3

On the 3rd of Feb 2018 I installed the latest version of macOS. From that day my ethernet network connection has stopped working. Wifi still works.

How can I get my ethernet back again?

We've tested the cable by plugging it into a PC and it works, so its not a cable problem.

I am new to Mac so not sure what to do next

Go to: Apple > System Preferences > Network > highlight Ethernet in the sidebar > click the - box > then click the + box and add a new Ethernet Service to the sidebar.
