You're probably looking for DJI Assistant 2. It lets you install firmware updates on your Phantom 4 Pro and your remote controller. Here's how to install it:

1. Download DJI Assistant 2 from here (scroll down until you see the Software section): https://www.dji.com/phantom-4/info

User uploaded file

2. Once you've downloaded the Assistant, open Finder, then go to your downloads folder. Right-click (or hold the Control key while clicking) on the installer package, then click Open. You'll be prompted if you want to continue. Click Open.

3. Progress through the installer until you are prompted to install DJI Assistant 2 onto your MacBook. Click Install, then provide your administrator username and password.

4. Decide whether or not you need HoRNDIS. If you have an Android phone (not iPhone) and you would like to be able to use your Android phone's hotspot, you may want to consider installing HoRNDIS. Otherwise, at the top of the screen, click on Installer, then click Quit.User uploaded file

5. Open Finder, then go to your Applications folder. Open Assistant. If you are prompted to allow Assistant to accept incoming network connections, click Allow.

6. Power on your remote controller and your Phantom 4 Pro. Then, connect the remote controller to your MacBook. If all goes well, your remote controller should appear on your MacBook Pro.

Hope this helps!

Thanks heaps and yes it did work great instructions, am feeling a little better now. I have been able to download DJI Assistant 2 for Mac.

Just wondering if you have a phantom 4 pro. could use some help with it. can not fly mine anymore than 50 mtrs and yes I have turned off beginner mode in all the places I can find. but still can not get anymore than 50m distance and 30m height. Just wondering what may be causing this.

Unfortunately I don't have a Phantom 4 Pro, but I do have a Mavic Pro, and both models use the same activation system and apps. Recently, DJI introduced a new anti-theft measure that prevents any drone from flying more than 50 metres away from the home point, unless a device that is signed into the account used to activate the drone is connected to the remote controller. In order to bypass this restriction, you'll need to download the DJI Go 4 app on your phone or tablet (or iPad), and sign into the DJI account that you used to activate your Phantom 4 Pro with. Before you take off, make sure that your device has the DJI Go 4 app open and is connected to your remote controller. This should fix the 50 metre issue.

If you're still limited to 50 metres, check if you have the latest version of the app. An update is likely waiting.
