Emails not displaying correctly
MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 10.3.3, says high sierra 10.13.3
Open system preferences , click on internet accounts select the mail account and click on subtract sign to delete it from Mac .
Open mail application from dock , you will see all mails are vanished ( but they are still saved on the server ) .
Take cursor on top menu bar , mail > and click on add mail check mark the box of the web server ( say google ) , type the complete mail address and click on next , enter the web mail password and click on done to get it saved .
Wait for few minutes , the mails will start downloading you can click on get mail icon .
Superb network speed is essential and keep the mail application opened until all mails are downloaded from the server .
You can create a new user account and then configure mail account , monitor the mails in this account .
Some thing is wrong in Mac in the first user account use etrecheck tool and remove unknown apps , anti virus , cleaners , run the tool and you can itself read it carefully if any doubts you can post the results .
Thanks tygb, unfortunately this did not resolve the problem.
They are still displaying as a series of numbers and letters and symbols.
eg.
<div style=3D=22min-width:320px; background-color:=23ffffff; font-=
family:sans-serif;=22>
<table cellpadding=3D=220=22 cellspacing=3D=220=22 width=3D=22100%=
=22>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td align=3D=22center=22 valign=3D=22top=22>
Any other thoughts?
Did this but does not change the emails at all
they look like this
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.=
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3Dutf-8">
<link href=3D'https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=3DLato:400,700,300'=
rel=3D'stylesheet' type=3D'text/css'>
<style type=3D"text/css" media=3D"screen">
.ExternalClass * {line-height: 100%}
@media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {
*[id=3Demail-container] {width: 100% !important;}
table[class=3Dresp-full-table] {width: 100%!important; clear: b=
oth;}
td[class=3Dresp-full-td] {width: 100%!important; clear: both
Hi tygb,
this did not help either.
The emails display fine on my iMac, iPad and iPhone but will not display properly on the MacBook pro (late 2013)
Thanks
Andrew
