IPv6 DNS server

When I am not using my vpn the dns server is Fe80::1. I have never seen a dns server with an IPv6 identification. The reason I noticed is that boinc won't connect to the remote host servers other than immediately after a reboot and with vpn on. With vpn on the IPv6 number disappears. Are these related issues?

Why is ipv6 dns entry inserted by Mac? I recently found that my Mac (Monterey) was using an Australian censored DNS instead of the ones I had specified in my routers DHCP settings. I noticed that there was an IPv6 DNS entry in the Mac's network settings in addition the ones I specify to be allocated from the router. The router has IPv6 disabled. I think the DNS was Telstra yet I'm with a Vocus ISP. Changing the Mac IPv6 setting from Automatic to "Link-local only" got rid of the rogue DNS entry. I've only just noticed this behaviour so it's probably been introduced with Monterey or a recent update of it. Has anyone else noticed this? Why has Apple started doing this?

Missing dns record hello. I use mbp in corporate closed network via dynamic vpn. Mac integrated in Active directory, but Big Sur didn’t send A record to DNS. I can see my laptop in ActiveDirectory, but get error, while try to connect or something. On 10.x devices work well. how can i enable sending dns records to server?
