Printer Idle

I have a MacAir and a Fujixerox laser printer, Docuprint CM115 w.

I can't get it out of Idle - wifi seems to be connected OK. How do I get it out of idle?

Restart the printer.

Open the Printer Preference and remove any paused or failed jobs.

Reset the Mac's printing system, as per > macOS Sierra: Reset the printing system

It should be idle until one print to it

I’ve tried resetting the printer plus I’ve deleted any jobs in the queue. It works if I plug printer into my llaptop but not on wifi. I’ve checked printer screen and it has correct wifi address...thanks for your ideas, Jenny
