Can’t delete songs from playlist and can’t add more music.

I’ve been trying for weeks to delete songs from my playlist, but it doesn’t work. I can’t even add more music to it. Does anyone know why is this happening or how to fix it?

Hi I just had this problem where there was a spinning circle in the top right corner and it wouldn't stop. What I did to fix it was simply power my phone completely off- on the iPhone 8 you press and hold the power button on volume minus button. Hope this helped!

Actually, I updated my iPhone and problem solved! It’s kind of weird, now sound doesn’t get recorded when I do screen recording on Apple Music :(

Thanks for that followup. Were you able to test create and deleting new playlists, and/or adding and deleting songs from those playlists? Also, it doesn't appear that the screenshot came through.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It looks like no one has responded yet to your question. If you could provide the following information, it may help the community respond:
1. Based on the community this was posted in, it appears that you are talking about Apple Music (as opposed to, say, purchased music within iTunes); is this correct?
2. When you talk about being unable to to add or delete music from your "playlist", do you actually mean a specific playlist, or are you talking about your Apple Music Library in general? This article outlines the differences:
Add and download music, shows, and movies from the Apple Music catalog - Apple Support
3. If you are talking about a specific playlist, does the issue appear to be isolated to just that playlist? Can you add or remove music from other playlists? Are you able to create a new playlist and add/remove music there?

1. Yeah, I’m talking about Apple Music.

2. Actually, in both cases, from my playlist and from the library.

3. I have t tried it yet since I just have one playlist.

I noticed that, when I try to delete a song from my playlist, the “loading” icon appears in the upper right of the playlist, but nothing else happens. I attached a screenshot about it.

I am having the exact same problem and it effects any playlist I can’t:

create new playlists, delete playlists, add songs to playlists, add songs or albums or anything new to my library and I cant delete anything or download anything. It is extremely frustrating.

I am having this exact same issue. I have tried troubleshooting steps like toggling the iCloud Music Library, disabling Add Playlist Songs, toggling Cellular Data, verified my Apple ID is logged in... nothing is working. I am still unable to add songs to playlists or delete songs from playlists.

When I add a song to a playlist, the icon with the check mark populates saying "Song added to playlist" but it fails to populate.

Additionally, when I delete a song from a playlist, it removes it from the list and the "loading circle" spins and spins but never stops spinning. If I back out of the playlist and go back in, the song is still there.

Please help! This is very frustrating.
