dock separator

Good afternoon tell me that I wanted to configure the dock panel on MacBook Air (11-inch, early 2014) I have a long time running a computer, the dock has accumulated a lot of icons, among which you can easily get lost. I know that it is possible by entering a special command in the terminal to add a separator to the dock, which command? Please tell me. This is a kind of transparent icon that can be moved to any convenient location.

Can I enter a command multiple times to get multiple separators?

MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014), macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), 10.13.4 (17E150g)

It sounds like it's time to delete some dock icons.

Here is how to manage your dock.
