Don't know what the discussions/arguments are. What I've seen is that tables are not native to Mail however you can create a table with the required columns and rows in another program (I use Notes) and then paste it into Mail. The caveat is that having done so, while you can edit the data in the cells, you cannot change the number of rows or columns.

Thank you for your revert dwb; but to be honest, I cannot paste table in the mail - may it be created in excel or notes or any other format.

What I found out is, if I create the table in excel - go to print option - select the table and then click on email the selection option. the table gets pasted in the mail in PDF format. you can make the size as required using mark up.

Of course with this technique you need to write only new mail - cannot be applied to replies of filaments!!

Apple must take into this issue, we need to create table while writing the mail and not want to send it as separate attachment - added work, time and energy!!
