Using the Preview App to edit a PDF form.
I added a signature to the document from the Markup Toolbar.
After adding a signature to the document, there does not appear any obvious way to remove it from the document.
I do not want to delete the signature from the list of signatures - I want to delete a signature I placed on the pdf document itself.

Use Edit > Undo or File > Revert To...
Yes. Once it's saved, you can no longer delete the signature. Which kind of makes sense. If you had an important document with a signature you sent to someone you wouldn't want them to be able to erase it.
If you haven't saved the PDF, click on the signature, then hit "delete".
Thanks but that would lose all my other changes also.
I suspect it's the only option other than masking the signature with rectangles.
I think this is actually a bug in preview.

Sadly I had saved it. Is that why I can't delete it now?
That would explain why deleting works sometimes and not others.
