I can’t send Live Photos through iMessage

I have an iPhone 8 Plus and IOS 11.2.5. I cant send Live Photos through iMessage even though nothing seems wrong! I can take the Live Photos and see them live in my gallery, but they turn to stills when I send them. I don’t have “send low quality photos” enabled, and I’ve tried turning my phone off. The Photos definitely have the “Live” thing on when I send them. Anyone that could help me is amazing!

Does your recipient has iPhone 6s or later model?

Show off your Live Photos to family and friends. Just make sure that they have the latest iOS or Messages for Mac. You can share your moment as a Live Photo or a still photo.

  1. Tap User uploaded file.
  2. In iOS 10 and earlier, if you want to share the still photo and not the Live Photo, tap Live in the upper-left corner.
  3. Choose how you want to share your photo.
If you choose Mail, it sends as a still image.

If you edit your Live Photo in a third-party app, you might lose the Live Photo effect.
