Why do Flash Icons appear on my desktop

If given the opportunity, I'll send you screen shots of the two Flash icons that arbitrarily show up on my desktop. I've selected "Get Info" about these icons and they show to be "volume" files. I'm reluctant to double click on them to open them,User uploaded fileUser uploaded file since I don't know why they show up or where they came from. Don't know if these are fake adobe updates containing an infection or what. Does anyone know how these icons should be handled or what they are?? Thanks for your time with this.

In safari preferences > websites > under plugins allow websites to use this plugin with the settings below it should be always on and not off .

And in the bottom setting when visiting other websites choose as on using drop down arrow selection .

If two adobe icons are shown on the desktop , right click on them and click on eject , the icons will be removed from desktop but the adobe application will still be there in system preferences or click on finder - in applications .
