iOS 11.3 - Delete Message Confirmation

The newest iOS 11.3 update enables a feature that asks if you're sure you want to delete a text message/iMessage once you choose the delete option. It's making me crazy! I tried searching through the settings to remove this deletion confirmation, but can't find anything on the topic. Is there any way to remove this feature?

What hogwash! Suppose 100 million people liked the change. How many of them would join ASC and come and post and say they liked it? After an update how many people do you think will come and post; "just updated. Everything is working perfectly." Only people who have problems, or who don't like a change, are going to post. That can be seen over and over whenever Apple makes a change: Swipe to unlock for example. ADDING a feature to disconnect from a Wi-Fi network without turning off Wi-Fi (or Bluetooth). There are still people who are furious about that! Any time any change is made there will be some users who are unhappy with it. And they will come and post. But the people who like the change, or are indifferent, won't bother. So whether it's 10, 100, or 1,000 who don't like it doesn't really matter in the universe of 1.2 BILLION users.

I find it amazing that someone can perform a 2-step operation and "accidentally" delete a message. That takes some real skill there.

Well, maybe if you spent a little time on this forum trying to help other people rather than to beat a dead horse, you would find out just how easy it it. We get multiple posts every single day with people asking us how to retrieve their messages. So, despite your unwillingness to understand that people can a) make a mistake, and delete the wrong one or b) start going so fast that they delete one they didn't mean to, or c) delete a bunch out of anger then regret it, it does happen. We are all so glad that you are perfect and have never had to ask for help because you have never made a mistake that is seemingly irretrievable. Good for you. Possibly you could take your skill set and try to help someone here rather than ridicule, question, and basically re-hash the same old dross.

Come on Apple, really!!!. Do you really think by calling this a FEATURE that will accept it. Smart phones have been around now for over 10 years. If you don't know what you are doing by now, then so be it. You will learn quickly after you delete several of your text threads. I like others in here agree that this was a horrible FEATURE. I am an old fart and even I get tired of being treated like a child with this kind of stuff. It SLOOOOOWWWWSSS down the whole experience. You want to know what a FEATURE is... when you add additional complexity to the UI, also add the CHOICE as to whether or not you want it or not.

GET RID OF THIS PLEASE!!!!

I actually found it easier - in the MESSAGES PAGE

**push “EDIT” button at the top left corner

**check(✔) the message(s) you don’t want

**push “DELETE” bottom right corner

It doesn’t ask you to “Would you like to delete this conversation?”

It’s quicker and faster then the swiping one

Yes, this has been explained, repeatedly, in this thread, including once already on this page. It's always a good idea to read a thread before posting in it.
