iMove buffer problem

Video rendering error: -50 (iMovie error -50: fillAudioBuffer failed)

What does that mean????

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

It probably means that the audio is causing some issue. Perhaps an unsupported format, or some type of corruption. To try to isolate the problem share out with different audio or with no audio and see if you get a good share. iMovie likes AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) or aiff codec. Likewise, share out just the audio (an option in the share box) and see it the audio shares out by itself.



Here's some other things you can try:


Assuming you are running iMovie 10.x.x, try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys, and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears.


If that doesn't work, try moving your media to a different project and sharing out from there.


Update to current iMovie version 10.1.8 and High Sierra.


Make sure that your destination for the share has enough disk space to receive the movie.


Hope this helps.


EDITED: Another thing you can try is to share out at Best Quality (pro res) that will give you a large sized .mov file. That sometimes cures audio problems.
