Boarding passes .pkpass

Good day,

In my old iPhone 5S I was downloading successfully all boarding passes from different airlines. Last week, I got an iPhone 6S with iOS 11 and now, no matter the airline, Safari is not recognizing the .pkpass file, neither allowing me to download it. I have tried to thru Mail, but I just got a bunch of files and barcodes in my Photos.

Does somebody know how to fix this?

I have no clue on coding, then a solution where I have to type code is completely useless.

Thank you

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.2.5

Hey fedeposa,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. If I'm understanding your post, you are trying to download boarding passes to your iPhone 6s, but get an error. I'm happy to help!

If you're not already, I would encourage you to use Wallet on your phone to access your boarding passes. The following article reviews how to add boarding passes, and other items, to your Wallet--and how to access them when it's time to get on the plane: Use Wallet on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support .

If you're already using Wallet and are still having this issue, try the following steps, testing after each:
  1. Force close Safari, Mail, and the Wallet app: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support, then restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
  2. Backup your iPhone: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support, then reinstall the iOS software (using the "Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again section"): If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
Have a great day!
