Search field in Photos does not find some pictures after upgrade to high sierra, although all pictures are present in the overview

Problem with the Photos app after update from Sierra to High Sierra

I am using Fotos Version 3.0 (3251.12.190) (German version)

Entering a title in the search field of Photos fails to find the picture, although all pictures are present in the overview of Photos.

Going back via Time Machine to the Photos Library that had been working with Sierra did not help

Can you find all photos, if you use a smart album instead of the search field?

File > New Smart album, add a rule "Title contains ...."

Searching with smart album seems to be more reliable than the search field in Photos 3.0 on High Sierra.

Just save the smart album and when you want to search right click on it and edit it - quicker and easier than making a new SA and deleting it each time

Yes, Smart album seems to find all the pictures I am searching.Thank you very much! It is, however, tedious to create a new Smart album for each search.
