My "flashlight" is draining my iPhone 7

I noticed that there were several posts where people were having issues with the IOS flashlight feature draining the battery. I also noticed there was no satisfactory resolution online. I am also having a problem, with the flashlight, which I haven't used in days, is draining between 18-24% over a 24 hour period. What is going on, and how can I fix it. Like one of the previous posts indicated, there is no "app"; there seems no way to access it. Is there a fix, and if not, why not? Surely Apple can figure this one out. It's why we pay big bucks for our cool phones.

I'm guessing that you are saying that when you check Settings>Battery, you are seeing that the Flashlight is using that percentage of battery you are reporting, however you are not using the battery. If that is correct, I suggest that you create a backup of your phone and restore to that backup. Seems like some process may have gotten stuck, and for some reason it appears the flashlight is attempting to be used, even if you are not using it. Check after that and waiting for a period and see if that changes.

Hi Brian; this wasn't really helpful. My phone just updated, and then I noticed this. And I don't see where this is addressed in the material I skimmed. Given the battery issues Apple seems to be having, I am wondering if I should follow in a friends footsteps and make an appointment at the Apple store. But was hoping there was a simple fix for this. Not trying to be rude at all, but I am thinking that by sending me to paperwork that you guys don't really have an answer either??? Ugh... tech can be such a pain when it messes up. This is a real bummer.
