iPhone 7 will not play audio SB port.

iPhone 7 will not play audio through car's USB port.

When I plug my iPhone 7 Plus into my car's ('09 scion xd) USB port, the artist/song/podcast information appears on the screen, but the audio only plays through the phone's speakers. I confirmed that my settings are all the same as they were on my 5s, which played with no problems through the USB connection. Bluetooth streaming works fine - no issues at all. Any ideas? i have a Pioneer Avic F7010BT multimedia navigation av flash memory receiver.
