Lightning to USB 3 camera adapter

Hi, I've seen there is Lightning to USB 3 camera adapter sold as accessoires to my iPad Pro 12,9" (2nd generation). My question is: Can I use "normal" USB memory sticks, or external USB harddrives with this accessory and my iPad?

This listing maybe incomplete and somewhat outdated, now. So do an online search for similar external data storage devices for iPads

Kingston Electronics makes some data storage devices for iPads/iDevices, now, too!

Good Luck!
