How can I get my Apple TV back on line? all I have on my TV screen is an Apple logo, nothing more.

Try a restart ...

If you have an Apple TV (3rd generation and earlier), go to Settings > General > Restart.

If it persists it may be hardware related, and unfortunately that model is considered obsolete so it’s no longer supported.
