My HomePod only seems to respond 3 in 10 times to the 'Hey Siri' request. The manual controls work fine and once Siri has been invoked it is working fine. Its very frustrating to be barking 'Hey Siri' and not have it respond.
Anyone else have this issue?

The consensus is to try powering the unit off/on or try to reset the unit.
Please, also file a bug report with Apple.

You might also try re-positioning the unit slightly in case the way your request bounces off different nearby surfaces is having an impact on the ability of the voice recognition software to recognize the event.

Yes. Low rate of success with Hey Siri. Then when Siri finally responds it rarely gets the request right. Alexa is so much better. I like the sound from the HomePod but wish I had gone with the two Sonos Ones.
