How to use system wide text substitution in MS office on mac os X

How to use de systemwide text substitution in mac os X in MS Word?

In system prefs you can easily add text to be substituted with other text.

f.i. : "short company name" will be substituted by "full official company name"

f.i. : "MS" will be substituted by "microsoft"

I'm aware that there is a similar function in MS Word. But I wan't to use the text substition in other programs too. So I'm not interested in a list of text substitutions in every separate program.

This doesn't work: https://www.macworld.com/article/1160500/softwa...

I executed in the terminal:

defaults write -g WebAutomaticTextReplacementEnabled -bool true

as root and as everyday user

Also restarted MS word, still doesn't work in MS Word.

MacBook Pro, iOS 11.2.6
