I am using macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6, The problem I noticed here Spotlight is not showing any installed application in search result. Even after adding "Applications" category in search I find same issue.
For me Spotlight is quicker way to laugh any application.
Please let me know if anybody find same issue?

Rebuilding Spotlight index works for me.
I used following terminal commands for reindexing.
Terminal command to enable spotlight reindexing:
sudo mdutil -a -i on
Terminal command to reindex everything on Mac System
sudo mdutil -E /
Now, I can search particular application installed in "Applications" folder in spotlight.
E.g: "Mail", "Chess"
