Trying to resave a document after editing with highlight text in adobe reader DC and this error comes up

The document could not be saved. A file error has occurred.

Does anyone know how to re-save with this?

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

I'd try saving

1-- with a different name

2-- to a different location

3-- to a different location like a flash drive.

4-- different name and different location.

I'm assuming you really want to save the file. Save early. Try to save just after you start the edit.
