Keynote video background + animation stops video

Hi!

I am trying to play a video in the background of a slide in keynote (7.3.1) with a text animation on top. Ideally, the video will start, the text animation will come on, and the video remains playing in the background (it's 30 sec long). However, when the text animation completes, the video also stops.

Any help to fix this would be great! Thanks.

Are you using transitions or automatic advance on the slide containing the video?

If so, you need to enter the duration of the video into the Transition Delay a 60 second video requires 60 seconds delay:

delete the existing slide
add a new slide
place the video on the slide and size and position
add the text to the slide and position
select the video on the slide, go to Inspector > Animate and click the Build Order button
in the Start drop down menu select: After Transition
Select the text box on the slide, in the the Build Order list, in the Start drop down menu, select: After Transition and set a value in the delay box, e.g. 3 for 3 seconds
Play the slide

It's still stopping the movie. Are there weight levels for videos in Keynote? I'm wondering if I need to make the video shorter? I can't understand why it won't play the whole way through.
